Celebrate Father's Day & Youth Day with Us!
at Parkhill Bowling Club (Durban North) - Back to the place where it all began
Is your Dad a legend? Treat him to a burger and beer as we take you on a musical journey honouring the legends of rock 'n' roll, with Showtime's performing waitrons. A one-night-only dinner and show that will have you singing, dancing and playing your air-guitar, while our group of performers serve you and keep you entertained.
After our sold-out roadshow around KZN, we are returning to where Showtime was born. We are pleased to announce that back by popular demand, our Beers, Burgers and Rock 'n Roll event will be hosted by the Parkhill Bowling Club (Durban North). Our supporters have been craving Brigid's Catering, so in response, she has designed a scrumptious menu of gourmet burgers.
So come join the only dinner theatre in Kwa-Zulu Natal to pop-up and amaze you with our talented cast of singers and musicians, that gives you an up-close experience of South Africa's top performers. This interactive and unique concept has attendees creating their own dance floors and partying with our cast, so bring those dancing shoes and air-guitars. You are going to need them!
This Show's #SupportLocal
We aim to support local artist as well as uplift our community. For each show, we select a local charity we'd like to assist. As we celebrate Father's Day and Youth Day on 15 June, we would like to keep those young children, without parents, in our hearts and minds. One of the biggest issues we face in South Africa is that of our country’s many vulnerable children.
We are excited to have teamed up with Jo from The Baby Home. The Baby Home is a fully registered Place of Safety that cares for abandoned or orphaned babies and babies given up for adoption. They nurture each baby individually, providing them with the love and care that every child deserves. They do this until a permanent solution is found for each child. The Durban North Baby Home cares for babies and toddlers between the age of 0 and 4, and little ones with special needs.
Jo has given us a list of things that they need on a regular basis. Please, if you're able to bring an item on the night of the event and place it in our collection box, we would be most grateful.
The Baby Home is a project of The Peace Agency which is a registered non-profit and public benefit organisation.
What can you expect from Showtime?
We partner with a variety of venues and restaurants to bring you Durban's first pop-up Dinner theatre. We don't believe in stages, so you will never know where in the venue your next performer will appear from to begin to amaze you.
We encourage attendees to bring their dancing shoes and get involved!! You will then get the true Showtime experience of dancing with us, while we put on our performances. Experience a unique, one of a kind experience which can't be found anywhere else.
Who are the Performers?
As every show is unique, we open auditions and cast an entirely new team of performers to ensure that no two shows are ever the same, with every show showcasing completely brand new performers. Our amazing musical director & singer, Cassie Rae, works tirelessly with each performer to perfect their talent for our incredible audience to witness. Besides Cassie, our cast is also guided and grown through this experience by our incredibly talented singer and MC, Ruan Geldenhuys with 9 years Barnyard Theatre experience.
We aim to assist local artists make their dreams come true by providing a platform to bring the entertainment to you. #SupportLocal #ShowtimeDurban
